Stepping Out- W Williams & Herb Alpert by Willi Williams published on 2013-06-06T23:19:48Z Willi Williams, original roots reggae music foundation artist, known for his beloved anthem,“Armagideon Time” (attached), will launch his new album in Jamaica at Bleu Essence, Tuesday, June 11, 2013. The album, “Reggae Can’t Done,” includes the hit entitled "One More" & instrumental “Stepping Out” with world famous jazz trumpeter, Herb Alpert. This especially is a real treat for the ears. Over the years, Williams formed a close association with legendary keyboard player, Jackie Mittoo, who contributed significantly to his Messenger Man album released in 1978. Since then he has been consistent with at least 13 albums in his discography. The late Jackie Mittoo continues to make history as one of his collaborations, “Everyday Sunshine,” will be launched, same night, same place – it is included on a debut album from a one-of-a-kind band called YAHBA. The first song on the album was written by Jackie Mittoo and the founder of YAHBA, Tony Stines. Both albums will be launched Tuesday, June 11, at an exciting launch party at Bleu Essence, Kings Plaza in the heart of Kingston. It is billed as the Double Launch “After Party” when Reggae Boyz play Honduras in the final World Cup qualifier that night. According to Willi Williams, “A lot of people won’t get no sleep that night”. Come out and take part in Jamaica’s music history, when a song from the late great Jackie Mittoo will be launched on YAHBA’s debut album “Jus Wicked”. Nonstop music, fun and food.
