WowWeek Vladimir Rumyantsev NN I play house, minimal, tech-house, techno. I started to play music on turntables in 2001 when I became the resident Dj at ‘Ultra’ night bar and at the same time a student at Nizhniy Novgorod Glinka’s Music Conservatory majoring in vocal. Within my residency I was engaged in maintaining the bar music policy as well as in directing the parties. At that time I also performed at many other Nizhniy Novgorod clubs. Since 2001 I have been a manager for electronic band ‘Zamsha’ (www.zamsha.ru ). In 2006 I played on one stage with Tony Key, the Dj and the producer widely known outside Moscow and Russia, who noticed me and offered to play at the cult Moscow club ‘Propaganda’ at the famous ‘China Town’ Sunday parties, where I play every third Sunday of a month. After that I received a proposal to play at the well-known places as ‘Bar 30/7’ (The Best Moscow Dance Bar 2005), ‘Just Café’ (previously known as the cult bar ‘Ogonyok’) and Y.E., where I share the stage with many Dj’s as Sanchez, Dan, Nejtrino, Da Vinci, Kuka, Tony Key, Helga as well as with many international dance music stars. In the New Year night of 2007 I shared the stage with electronic project ‘Swanky Tunes’ at ‘Bar 30/7’. At that period of time I performed a lot in Moscow , Nizhniy Novgorod and some other central Russian cities (Cheboksary , Kazan , Perm , Saransk , Saratov , Kirov ). After meeting Dj SpyDer at ‘Krysha Mira’ club I introduced tech-house/minimal into the sound and actively started to develop this musical trend. In the beginning of 2007 I participated in the album production of musical project ‘Zamsha’ which was released in spring 2007 under ‘Soyuz’ record label and supported by Artemy Troitsky. The beginning of the year of 2008 marked my working up a new tech-house, minimal, minimal techno project. In June 2008 with the active assistance of Dj Marina FOX this project was introduced to the public under the name ‘This is coca*** speaking!!!’. It is intended to promote non-commercial music with the participation of talented Russian Dj’s. Currently I contribute to new music production of ‘Zamsha’ band and go on tour. I believe that being up on the new things and picking out the best is the only way to create the best sets!
