Truman Colin Payne London Truman left Music College, figuring there was only so much dead people’s music you could play and got his first job when he found his first rave…nothing more to be said…the path was set. Chance meetings with pioneers like Kraftwerk led to a love of synths and heavy beats whiles hanging out at Essex clubs led to sessions with local bands like Depeche Mode, Talk Talk and Alison Moyet. The rise and rise of dance music just made sense and Truman became one of the pioneer crossover artists of the 90’s He hooked up with bands playing keyboards and producing – heavy techno (NIN), deep indie dance (Candyland), UK R&B (Mark Morrison), collaborations in modern dance with the acclaimed electro-ballet “Rain” with the Rambert.. Loving performance Truman toured extensively supporting Shakespeare’s Sister, joined EMF on stage as Unbelievable went to Number One in the UK charts and was on stage for a legendary Brits performance at Wembley with Shaun Ryder, Bez and The Happy Mondays. As a Producer he had success both with chart recording and broadcast, launching new music radio at XFm – sessions by Oasis, Bowie, The Cure, Morcheeba…so many amazing times, friends and great music. He worked in partnership with the legend that is Phil Chill (out of that studio came the worldwide hit 'Return of the Mack'...as well as contributions to Massive Attack's Blue Lines amongst many other notable contributions to music) Returning to performance after an inspirational summer in Ibiza, Truman saw that dance had the most incredible energy when recorded, but it rarely lived up to the promise on stage - which is where Truman takes it. 2012 and on… Coming out of London’s East End where the family have been living for five generations! It’s time to hear London shake, dance and party again!
