45/7 #73 ARTIST: DJ KAOS by 45/7 VINYL CLUB published on 2020-11-06T10:53:52Z 1) Tell us a bit about yourself and your record collection. Records you can find anywhere in the weirdest unexpected places! My collection is build over three, maybe four decades. Mostly tunes I’ve found during touring around. I’ve found tunes, unexpected rare tunes in Switzerland for example, good condition rare clean. I’ve found records in a basement in Brooklyn NYC, were you have the fight the rats first before opening lost 12“inch boxes! Stuff like that you know, I guess you create a certain skill during these I call „Lost/ Found“ diggin‘ sessions. Luckily enough I’ve build a nice collection over the years and wonder sometimes when a record I’ve found for 1 USD dollar years back gets hyped up (mostly the disco these days) for ridiculous prices! It’s funny and stoopid! Whatever let the kids have fun . . . 2) 45/7 is all about celebrating the 7". Can you tell us a bit about what you love about the format. I’ve started looking for 7“inch records when I couldn’t find the 12“inch. For example ‚Cozy Powell“ Dance with the devil (7“) was only pressed on 7“, or some of the versions from Led Zeppelin came only as a 7“, or the now very hyped „check my machine“ 7“ by Paul McCartney came as a Bonus 7“ and was hidden in the Album release. A lot dub roots reggae is only available on 7“ etc and so on . . . 3) Four hours of vinyl goodness... can you talk us through your selection for your 45/7 mix? You know ! If you mix it becomes a story and certain moods mixing not mixing combinations start making sense and start creating an atmosphere and from there you keep it flowing ! That’s how your mix came together! Hope you like what I’ve done . . . 4) Where can people catch you / listen to your music? I am stuck like everybody out there at the Moment we are all in this together! Focusing on my label Jolly Jams and planing to end this year snowboarding as much as i can, keeping it fit is very essential I work a lot I need the balance. 5) Top 5 all time fave records Offff! It’s very difficult to cut it down to just 5 tunes, ! There is to many I love! I could tell you what’s on my turntable at the moment ! 1. José Padilla (anything) 2. Augustus Pablo etc. (a lot roots dubs I listen to) 3. Joe Cocker (Inner City Blues) (got alot plays at the moment) 4. Tommy Guerrero - Perpetual (Full Album) 5. Tapping The Source (Jolly Jams) Genre 45/7 Comment by Tomas Ros This mix is fuckin amazin 2021-07-15T18:41:20Z Comment by Burnout Sumner Steely fuckin' Dan ... again! ;-) 2020-11-12T17:01:53Z Comment by Burnout Sumner Steely fuckin' Dan! 2020-11-11T12:39:03Z Comment by bazedjunkiii big tune! 2020-11-08T02:05:12Z Comment by bazedjunkiii i digs. 2020-11-07T23:57:58Z Comment by bazedjunkiii raw power. levels! 2020-11-07T22:40:32Z Comment by bazedjunkiii classic deephouse vibes are classic... fire tune. 2020-11-07T22:05:23Z Comment by bazedjunkiii that's a deep one for a start. 2020-11-07T21:32:28Z Comment by Overjoy in love 2020-11-07T17:02:06Z Comment by Byutifu Great breakfast making mix! <3 2020-11-07T06:06:36Z Comment by Sevenbeatz frontera del ensueño <3 2020-11-06T12:32:48Z
