ABDULLAH ABDULLAH Chicago My name is Abdullah (Anthony Sarpy) and I'm from the West Side of Chicago, IL (K-Town to be exact). I currently reside in the north surburb of Waukegan, IL. I am a U.S. Army veteran, where I was an Infantry soldier for nearly 9 years and served in 4 deployments overseas (3 in Iraq, and 1 in Afghanistan). I currently have a new album out now, entitled "Black Manhood." I am a person who is a freedom fighter for Black and oppressed peoples throughout the world. I'm also an advocate for Black Nationalism, which simply means I care for owning, controlling and policing the businesses, politics and society of the Black community. I also care about the African continent and the development in which our brothers and sisters there should have a hand in, which makes me a staunch supporter of Pan Africanism. I believe in educating the Black masses properly on the truth of our history, and how we should apply it to our own existence in bettering ourselves as a whole. I value the hip-hop culture very seriously, and I hold myself accountable as to what I say in my music and the impact it may have on people (particularly the young generation). Therefore, I am a positive, thought-provoking lyricist with an enlightened message to represent for the masses; while at the same time, staying true to myself and not becoming a sellout. I will use my potential to the fullest, while providing the people with good music to listen to for both their souls and also for their minds.
