ALIMA ONG ALIMA ONG Dakar The Alliance for International Medical Action, or ALIMA, is a medical humanitarian organization headquartered in Dakar, Senegal. Since its creation in 2009, ALIMA has treated over 1.5 million patients in 34 projects and carried out important medical research on malnutrition, malaria, surgery and Ebola. ALIMA pools resources with a network of national non-governmental organizations wherever possible, allowing the organization to respond quickly to humanitarian needs and carry out research projects adapted to local realities. ALIMA currently works in seven of the countries with the highest childhood mortality rates in the world: Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea, Mali, and Niger. In 2015, ALIMA received European Union 1st Health Prize for its contribution fighting Ebola.
