The sound of Lake Peipsi in Laaksaare boat harbor. Field recording. Estonia June 30, 2021 by Andrus Kannel published on 2021-07-02T11:09:21Z It's half past seven in the evening. The color of the sun is turning golden but it is still hot. It is 26 degrees outside. There are no boat owners or passengers in the harbor. There is one small building in the port where a ticket seller sits despite the fact that the last ferry of the day to Piirissaare departed half an hour ago. The water of the lake sings against the ferry's landing bridge. There are swallows nesting right under the bridge and motor boats can be heard from the lake Genre Field recording Comment by AudioFokus - Axel Mecke I am a bit late in listening tothis wonderful recording... anyway: it is delicately composed by reality. Each sound relates to all the others. Thank you! 2022-10-15T19:12:40Z Comment by Hearing Beings Recordings just like this illustrate the point that 'reality', when you can catch it at its best, is the real originary 'music', and all that we humans do in that department is derivative, and much more constrained and limited. Perhaps a controversial statement, but I feel it is true. A beautiful recording, which depended both upon the sensory sensitivity and the sensitive technical skill of the recordist. Well done. Thanks for the renewed inspiration. 2021-07-06T08:56:56Z Comment by World-Sounds.org Gorgeous textures throughout this recording. Did you have any sort of baffle between the microphones? 2021-07-02T12:07:17Z
