Poly Paraxeno by Arsenic Mayhem published on 2020-04-12T00:33:15Z This is the first of my written songs I've ever recorded... This song's about one of my characters, Poly Paraxeno... It's about Poly, but it's from another one of my characters POV (Arsenic.) Poly is Arsenic's history teacher. She's also very apathetic and not many know why. Most don't care for Poly and see her as an everyday, boring, extremely monotonous person, but Arsenic is in awe and scared of her. She doesn't know what to feel. This is because she feels a special connection to Poly and thinks she was similar to her when she was her age. They're also related... Poly's Arsenic's second aunt. She's almost envious of Poly in a way because of her pain and experience at such a young age. Anyway, Poly has a condition called Maufygo, where due to trauma or depression, the color from a maudon fades away from their body. Not many know this condition exists. Poly used to be a dark shade of red just like Arsenic before the condition came upon her. Ugh this song's in 5/4 and changes to 3/4 in the bridge... that was frikin hard Here are the lyrics: Verse 1: haven't any hue, haven't any clue what set you apart from us. When the spell is blue, you don't sleep like we do. Stay away from those you dont trust. There never comes a time where you laugh or cry. I wanna close my eyes but you take me by surprise. Chorus: You weren't always grey and who'd have guessed you're hanging on today to the redness of your past. The fire in your chest is all that's lest and if it goes out then i don't think that you'll even last. Verse 2: You've always been in pain. makes me think I'm in vain. Am I sheltered from the world? I'm scared to ask you so my mind is screaming "no!" but my heart is saying "yes you should" Your skin it used to show a beautiful glow. This is what few know and now you're dull and nothing more *chorus* Bridge: Nobody even cares. They hate you and your melancholy ways they don't realize your despair. They don't know what you cant say only seeing your terrible state, never having carried the weight, what possibly could've caused you this pain? Ending: this is what few know; that you were once red from head to toe
