Ode Action Helene Smith by Artur M. Vidal published on 2014-07-08T22:18:56Z This sounds are the result of a collaboration with the artist Charlotte Law. It follows a former performance that we did few months ago involving the deconstruction of a piano. During this second meeting Charlotte attempted to build something with the remaining pieces of the piano. While she was trying to make all this bits stand together I attempted to find sounds that were new for me and that sometimes could engage with her action. Our meeting was dedicated to Hélène Smith a medium and glossolalist from the XIX th century. Smith's 'vocal utopias' consisted of a non intelligible speech exceeding social boundaries embedded in language. The performance was an attempt to 'communicate' with her by creating our own unknown language. Genre unknown
