Aryn Finngard Aryn & Ishtar Aryn: Creative mind and chronic daydreamer When Aryn doesn't work creatively, he's most likely daydreaming or lost in his own mind somewhere. With his soft and quiet voice, absent-mindedness and dreamy, melancholic temper, he tends to get overlooked. The people who do notice him often like to voice their disapproval of his lack of "sense for reality" and social seclusion, and do not take him very seriously. But he doesn't really mind as long as he can make music or draw. He spends most time in his private studio - sometimes he stays in there for days and not even a sunny summer day can lure him outside. Ishtar: Trouble on two legs (or four depending on the level of intoxication) Ishtar is one of the few people appreciating Aryn's nature and creativity. In fact, he is probably the only person Ishtar has any respect for. In many ways, she's the complete opposite of him: Impulsive, loud and aggressive. With her punkish look, vulgar language, defiant personality and attitude, she quickly scares away most people. But Aryn is not really bothered by it - maybe because his mind is simply elsewhere. Even though Ishtar mastered many bowed and plucked string instruments, her performance can sometimes be unreliable, because she turns up drunk or injuired from a fight she got herself into - if she turns up at an agreed time at all. The Executie: Ishtar's plush toy bear Not really acknowledging her own musical talents, Ishtar insists that the heavily patched plush bear she lovingly calls "The Executie" plays the instruments. She keeps him on her lap during her performance and never plays without him. Aside from Aryn, The Executie is the only male she can really stand.
