Aurora Sect Los Angeles #1 Recording artist in the Verdugo Triangle. Songs about: love\death\endoftheworld Based in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles, singer/songwriter/producer Daniel Tatomer completed Aurora Sect's eponymous debut in late 2016. Following a debut at the most local possible venue, Eagle Rock's All Star Lanes, Daniel decided to augment the then- two piece lineup; thus, an invitation was extended to drummer and ex-Silver Needle cohort Chris Willett, who, with bassist Danny Gordon in tow, joined the fold. With stylistically diverse résumés and tight chemistry, Willett and Gordon laid an impressive foundation for Tatomer's texturally adventurous, spaced-out alt-rock explorations. The trio had but a couple of gigs in the books when longtime Kiss or Kill co-scenester Celeste Kim most serendipitously reappeared after a good while spent mostly abroad. At last, the ensemble felt complete. The quartet booked its new lineup debut in 2020, but a global pandemic struck and plans were derailed. The lineup that contributed to the December 2021 release of the Menagerie EP eventually succumbed to the lull of the pandemic, but Tatomer and Kim remained engaged in the production of new material and eventually began scheming anew to get back onstage. They recruited former King Cheetah drummer, Robin Holden, whose considerable production chops gave the project a big boost. A newly revamped ensemble released its first single, "Deep in the Night" on December 29, 2023. They will return to the stage in January 2024 and continue work on the next Aurora Sect album.
