Funeral March Of A Marionette [Belial Pelegrim Adaptation] by Belial Pelegrim published on 2021-10-31T20:10:30Z Recently I've delved into trying to do my own versions of some of the great and eerie music from 60s television shows. For this Halloween I wanted to rework this piece by Charles Gounod that found it's way into providing the theme for the Alfred Hitchcock Presents series in the sixties. I give you 'Funeral March of a Marionette (Marche funèbre d'une marionnette). It was originally written for solo piano in 1872 and orchestrated in 1879. This kind of stuff—exposed to me through black and white television signals—played a big part in my early love of music in general. I used a combination of woods and strings along with some other bits and bobs. Painting by Rodney Evans Bacon Genre Happy Halloween!
