John Tenney: Over Viseu by binauralmedia published on 2016-11-30T09:45:22Z A huge eagle flies through a clear blue sky over the small city of Viseu, and descends to the ground amid crows and goats with their bells gently ringing. We hear the sounds of nature and of humans at work in the country, then the city and its clamor, people at worship, water for washing and milling, trains transporting people here and there, reminders of the passage of time from the church bells… In short, sounds of everyday life, stitched together with fantasy segments of altered sound. At the end, our bird takes off, to fly away, who knows where? I am a lifelong professional violinist, now retired. For many years I have been making field recordings and composing soundscapes. My album “American Places” was released by Portuguese netlabel Green Field Recordings. Genre Electroacoustic Music
