Rolling Down To Old Maui by blue eyed sailor published on 2014-09-11T18:32:31Z Another great song which I was finally getting about in the aftermath of that great week of the Baltic Shanty Festival - to be regarded as a first attempt, recorded live as always. I dedicate this to the fellows mainly from Switzerland who'd been amiably accepting the two of us on board the lovely schooner "Banjaard" and have their own smashing version of this fine song. The words I have compiled from mainly the older "Rolling Down to Old Mohee", combining the verses with the well known chorus... Hope that works for the sympathetic listener... So good to know that you're still listening to my posts!! 2014-09-18T15:54:37Z Comment by blue eyed sailor @dabluroom: Thanks a lot my friend, I really took my 1,5 hours time to learn and rehearse and record the tune - and the setup has remained the same, apart from maybe adjusting the recording level slightly lower and therefore avoiding clipping and distortion... 2014-09-18T15:53:35Z Comment by blue eyed sailor @martin-k-g: Thanks a lot Martin, your feed back is much appreciated! 2014-09-18T15:51:23Z Comment by Mayor of Donutville Wonderful! 2014-09-16T00:59:55Z Comment by Lizzie Taypen Lovely shanty Wolf, and beautifully played. The oddest setting i've heard it was in a hut high in the northern Appalachians on a hiking trip, when the staff for some reason used it as a wake-up call one morning. 2014-09-12T12:53:21Z Comment by Swamp HFM Beautifully done, Wolf! 2014-09-12T07:52:02Z Comment by Mountain Songs At the risk of repeating myself, enjoyed this enormously.
