Calligraphy x
Jackson
The Multi-disciplined Calligrarphyx defies definition. Always a free spirit, he lets his heart lead him in life, and in music. From the age three, he has been expressing himself through poetry. He has gone on to fulfill many more aptitudes, having now gained great skill in piano, violin, bass, saxophone, guitar, and vocals. His first official performance was at the Mississippi Music Awards in 2016 when a soul artist, Kobe Singleton, drafted him from the audience for a performance. Since then, Calligraphyx has risen to many heights in the entertainment community. He has shared magazine covers with giants in his field, and would later share the stage with other notable musicians such as Jesse Robinson, “The Amazing” Jimmi Maze, JJ Thymes, Alphonso Sanders, and AJC.
However, Like many innovators, his greatness was not always recognized. In school, he was an outcast. Many saw him as weird and unappealing, and kept their distance. The first of his relations to nurture his abilities was his cousin, an Arizona-based rapper known as G Scrill. He challenged Calligraphyx to write a song in one hour to a random beat. This kickstarted Calligraphyx’s passion for R&B, as well as being an early example of his spontaneous creative style. He can compose on the spot, sometimes for live audiences, and while his methods have become more sophisticated, Calligraphyx is still a one man band that he started out as.
