I recorded here (France)upright bass over the duet by Chris Ledwidge (Ireland): piano and Michael Ash Sharbaugh (USA) synthesizers. I improvised over the original track twice, first take was a disaster, second was slightly better but still I couldn’t figure out what the piano was doing so my notes are bad and my timing is also bad. I mean, I'm following the sort of pulse but I'm not playing in the right spots, I'm afraid... So, to save the thing from the trash lid I decided to label my ramblingness as an “abstract impro”, a tag that can excuse or justify many “out of focus” things. I added another thing that I use to bury sloppy things and pretend they are avant-garde brilliant statements: Valhalla Supermassive.
