Palais Des Bauzards persued an industrial and electronic variant of the sound that swept into vogue during the first half of the '80s. Initially the group was formed in 1983 in the Belgian city of Louvain by Danny Jacobs, Dirk Van Regenmortel, Chris Serré (+2006), Frank De Wit and Rudy Stuyckens. In 1983 they released two tracks on the Mask Live LP together with Front 242. In the three following years many of their home recorded tracks were published on various cassette tape labels: Wij Zijn België (ZZZ), X-Mas compilation (Riot tapes), Cabbage part one (Cauchy Productions), Tape-O-Matix (the Cassette Factory), Mad In Belgium (3Rio tapes), Flanders on the Rocks (the Cassette Factory), International Audio Compilation (3 Rio tapes). In 1984, new artwork "Going under", "In the grassfield", "Knowing too much" was recorded and produced by Ludo Camberlin at the Anything But Productions studio.
Since the beginning of the 21st century, many of their original material can be found on playlists around Europe and the USA. Many songs will be reissued on LP in the near future. About 4 LP-projects are about to be completed in 2014.
This track 'going under' is my personal tribute to Chris Serré, who decided to leave this world in 2006. A commemoration to Chris:
I can’t swim
And won’t reach the dark
I’m going under and lost the fight
A land in the atmosphere (bis)
I’m going under and lost the fight
You will rule the nation
And built a new creation
That’s why I lost the fight
I’m going under, I’m going down…

lyrics
This is the key
For the next speaker
This is the key
I've lost the fight
I'm going under
I'm going down
I can't swing
And won't reach the dark
I'm going under
And I've lost the fight
I'm going under
I'm going under
You will wear the uniform
But I'm the junk
And I've lost the fight
Lost the fight
I'm going under
I'm going down
A land in the atmosphere
I'm going under
And I've lost the fight
I'm going under
I'm going under
You will rule the nation
And built a new creation
That's why I've lost the fight
I'm going under
I'm going under
He's goes down...
