Siren song by deepmagic published on 2024-01-10T16:38:02Z BEWARE! BEWARE! Be aware Beware Of the Siren’s song the end of her song is death. I’m reading Circe by Madeline Miller, a retelling of the Greek myth of Odyssey and feeling inspired by the imagery. At one point after being betrayed in love, Circe transforms the nymph Scylla into a six headed monster who guards a narrow passage in the sea. Scylla devours and destroys any sailors and ships who come near her. And in the classic Greek myth of Odyssey there appear sirens; beautiful, dangerous half woman, half bird creatures whose song will be death to any sailor that hears it. I’m fascinated by this idea of dangerous women creatures at sea symbolizing temptation, peril and death. Scylla, monstrous and hungry, the sirens beautiful and sweetly singing but nevertheless deadly. Large wooden ships slicing through the water. Masculine power being crushed by the lure and seduction of these creatures. guitar microkorg synth field recordings random household objects as percussion voice gb drum loop #pajamuary-2024 week 2y Comment by XFA Perfffect 2024-04-10T08:11:03Z Comment by PSG's Jamuaries definitely love this one, love the mood 2024-02-16T21:11:30Z Comment by abandoneer fantastic, dig the beat instruments and vibe 2024-01-15T02:49:43Z Comment by Kurt Mottershead Cool track, great soundscape, sounds a bit like AIR. 👍👍 2024-01-14T20:46:40Z Comment by PSG's Jamuaries beautiful voices, nice work! 2024-01-12T04:58:50Z Comment by PSG's Jamuaries interesting, like the guitar tone contrasting the synth, very nice 2024-01-12T04:57:09Z Comment by Mystic Tape Deck wow this was a super cool listen.
