Project Alarm - Amazin' Rainforest by Donovan Kirk published on 2024-03-24T18:11:59Z This is kind of my tribute to the very addictive but short-lived "sambass" phase around the very early 2000s, but also a bit of the Japanese influenced side of things like some of what Cornelius did with Pizzicato 5. I have been loving that type of stuff going on RYM and going through the tags to find something interesting to me, because of how much I love these little microgenres. I have also been into bossa nova and samba for a long time so it flowed pretty easily. This may be the most "composed" sambass track ever made, next to some of the greats of course like Kaleidoscópio and Marcelinho da Lua. I wanted to respect that culture of music and not just mercilessly loop samples without changing things up or adding my own story to it. An evil poacher also gets rekt at the end >:3 protec the cats of the Amazon Genre Drum & Bass
