AUGUST is 811 month ONG Door Knockers and 811 - Amber Remke, ONG by The Baskin Real Estate Specialists, eXp Realty published on 2021-07-27T20:42:16Z There are a lot of different scams that are happening in our world today and one of these are those who are posing as an officer of different utility companies. This could also happen in real estate like there are some random people telling stories that they cannot reach your realtor and want to go in and check the property and some of us are so trusting about that. So today is Amber Remke of ONG to give us tips on how to prevent these things from happening to you. So when people come to your home and says they want to check on your gas meter you should not let them in unless you have scheduled for it for this is not a normal business practice. The first thing you have to do is ask for proper identification, the ONG technicians always carry their company identification. They will also be wearing company logoed clothing, yellow safety vest and a ONG logo in the company vehicle. ONG strongly suggests using their 811 service, the phone call you need to make before you do any kind of digging and excavating on your property. It’s a free call, just make it at least 2 days before your project starts excluding the day the phone call was made, weekends and holidays. You can visit their website at www.ong.com for more information.
