Inspired by auteurs from Proc Fiskal to Emma-Jean Thackray to Drexciya, Erin's productions are packed with intense detail but also a head-spinning sense of wonder. That tension between joy and anxiety informs the exhilarating hybrid sound of Threshold, a sound that she has explored in mixes for BBC 6 Music (Tom Ravenscroft), DUMMY & KEXP, and that has found her support from Gorilla vs Bear, COLORS, FBi Radio and DJs Nina Las Vegas, Andy Garvey and Air Max '97. Erin on Threshold: “Threshold refers to the feeling of being at boiling point - that intensity you feel when everything is just about to overwhelm you. I made this music during a very intense time in my life, when Melbourne went into the first of its long-term lockdowns. I wasn’t working, so my life revolved entirely around music creation. Suddenly I had all of this time to create music, which was amazing - until it wasn’t. Listening back, there is a tension present in all the songs. Every creation has such bursting energy of emotion – the songs became the vehicle for a lot of pent up feelings and things that I didn’t have words for and still don’t. Threshold feels like the point at which all of those things demanded to be known, and came spilling over into my songs. It is the culmination of a lot of things, and best represents my music making style and intensely detailed creation process up until now.” Genre getting deeper Comment by Berlin Techno Music supported! 2022-07-22T14:00:53Z Comment by Barbur Room supported! 2022-07-22T12:00:12Z Comment by 66 DJ HONEY PUFF AWESOME SOUNDZ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,SUPPORTED,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,H🙏P 2022-07-12T13:52:44Z Comment by Herr Oppermann Nice work! 2022-07-12T10:46:02Z Comment by MBryan 𓂀 great work 2022-07-11T11:04:51Z Comment by MONKEYCIRCUS nice! 2022-07-10T10:01:02Z Comment by MELODIC.DEEP.HOUSE NICE! 2022-07-07T07:30:05Z Comment by Deeper Quality 🍌✅ reposted on @deeperquality! 🍌✅ 2022-07-06T06:01:03Z Comment by Akoasma Europe Supported by Akoasma Europe :) 2022-07-03T17:15:33Z Comment by Nils Lejoner Reposted ! 2022-07-03T16:37:17Z Comment by Suprematic Sounds 🖤 2022-07-03T11:06:03Z Comment by House Music South Africa Sizzling Jam ⚡️ 2022-07-01T18:34:48Z Comment by PLANET IBIZA top & full supported <3 2022-07-01T16:30:14Z Comment by Artem Berezkin Great! 2022-06-24T17:45:39Z Comment by juSt b beautiful work, really feeling the intensity of emotion that went into this @signugris - happy to support :) 2022-06-24T17:43:17Z
