2022.03.27 Malleefowl Dawn. Early Autumn. Location 1. Part 2. by Hearing Beings published on 2022-08-12T07:34:19Z From 07:24 to 07:56 (Australian Central Daylight Saving Time (ACDT)) Please refer to the Playlist description/notes for background information about this recording and the other connected recordings in this set. Note: This recording was made in South Australia during 'Central Daylight Saving Time' (ACDT), which is an important variable to take into account, because it means that the escalated period of human machine activity begins one hour earlier than during 'Central Standard Time' (ACST). The important consequence is that as days grow longer, and First Light occurs earlier in the day-night cycle, human activity abruptly begins one hour earlier with the commencement of 'Daylight Saving', and therefore overlaps, again (and therefore pollutes and interferes with) the period of First Light - or 'The Hour of the Birds', as it is known to Aboriginal peoples: a time that was only momentarily freed from the escalated period of human machine activity, thanks to the earlier rising of the sun, until humans set their clocks back one hour... Genre Field Recording Comment by dismalhiker There are multiple rhythms here with different frequencies. Wonderful! 2022-08-19T01:59:44Z
