The Prodigy - Out Of Space (HUD Vocal Remix) by HUD (UK) Oldskool/D&B/House/Techno/Breaks published on 2023-04-13T21:33:20Z One of the very best of the 90s hardcore breakbeat scene. Out of Space was one of the Prodigy's most catchy tunes and more commercial than the B side Ruff In The Jungle Bizness. The song is arguably the most successful of the Prodigy's early period and was often played live by the band. All sounds used on these remixes are recreated using the original or remade samples and nothing ripped directly from the original Prodigy tracks. The colour-negative music video for the song, directed by Russell Curtis, featured the band raving in a rural setting. Keith Flint was dressed up in a "raver's outfit", wearing white overalls, a face mask and fluorescent gloves, sniffing Vicks VapoRub. Out Of Space uses Max Romeo's famous reggae track "Chase The Devil" and blends it with with some speeded-up samples of breakbeats. Add some rave synths and bleeps, and the inspired use of a "boing" cartoon sound effect and you have a classic rave anthem.
