Song For The Growing Grass (M.Sboarina&I.Boffa) by Ilaria Boffa published on 2021-04-06T18:34:00Z Song for the Growing Grass (piano and sax)by Mario Sboarina https://soundcloud.com/rosmarinobaia Sonopoetry and mixing by https://soundcloud.com/ilaria_boffa The two poems both titled 'the Language of Sounds' are taken from my poetry collection About Sounds About Us. 'The Language of Sounds It’s all about grass. The green and the elegance of wilting away. We stopped at the meadow to take a field recording. Our knees got drenched, the spikes rustled. Drifters in the valley of pulses. All the senses enhanced, the fibres strengthened for the crickets sang and dandelions danced. This land is a resonator, visible and invisible. We stood there. Any beat you recognise? Hear, how insolent. The Language of Sounds And now that we’re drifting away I realise how uncontrollable it was this compulsion to give, how visceral to tune. Are you in this everywhere with me? Want is the ecological sound of a mass extinction.' In the future there will no more grass that was eventually allowed to be taken away from us, along with our bees. 2021-04-10T04:15:51Z Comment by henry koek wonderful atmosphere , fine text 2021-04-07T09:57:39Z Comment by No Mates Ensemble profound words delivered in such a smooth environment.. it becomes a lament 2021-04-07T06:15:41Z
