Implodernz Imploder Auckland Imploder are a Stoner Pop band originating in Auckland, New Zealand. Entrenched in punk and classic rock history, they combine being the loudest band in town with tunes that stick firmly in your wormhole. Introducing: Tom Irwin (guitar), Jamie Stone (vocals, guitar) ex Trucker, Phil Buscke Somervell (drums) also of The Datsuns and Winston Shadbolt (bass) of Ghosts Of Electricity and bloodline of the highest Mayor in the World. Their story so far is a work (or a gardening job would be more accurate) in process. After cutting teeth and bleeding ears around the North Island in the tiniest possible venues, they have recorded their live set with Scott Newth, sound engineer and frontman for Rumpus Room. From playing shows, screen printing their own tees and basically being alive, they found themselves short on cash but high in weed! Garden weeds that is - of course! Luckily the Master of Mastering, Chris Chetland (Kog Studio) lent his good ol' West Auckland hand out and let the band dig up his weeds and do some general tidying up around his property while he masters one song at a time..."When the weeding stops, the mastering stops"...He drives a hard bargain, but whats a band to do? Greatest Hits is the bands debut single from the soon to be finished (depending on the weather) album. Implodernz’s tracks Greatest Hits by Implodernz published on 2012-12-04T09:14:26Z
