Protocol Afro - Borneo by Indische Partij Records published on 2016-04-15T05:23:40Z In mid-2015, Jakarta-based band Protocol Afro re-released their debut album, “The Youth”, for the Japanese market in Japan through Moorworks Records, where the album consists of songs from the original Indonesian market version of the album (through Indische Partij Records), with additional previously unreleased songs. In the spirit of Record Store Day 2016, Protocol Afro releases a 2-song single, made up of the additional songs from the Japanese market version of “The Youth”. The first song is a repackaged version of the band’s old single“Music (Dance With Me)” with new vocals track sung in Japanese by Puti Chitara (https://soundcloud.com/putichitara), a local singer-songwriter who is also member of Barasuara, the hottest indie band in Indonesia right now. The second song is the newest number from Protocol Afro, titled “Borneo”. Different from the previous songs theme, which focused more on youth life (freedom, love, and having fun), through the new song Protocol Afro focuses more on the environmental issues in Indonesia, specifically related to deforestation. This special 2-song single is now available through Indische Partij Records’ Soundcloud account (https://soundcloud.com/indische-partij-records) and music streaming services like Deezer, Apple Music, and Spotify.
