Informel8 Informel 8 Tokyo 「The Implication of the Term “Informel” 」 Could there be a jazz band that has its exclusive composer? Wouldn’t it be cool if there were one? This is the plot of which this band came out. In the world of jazz where improvisation has come to an extremity, in the field of music creation inundated with computers, named by Naruyoshi Kikuchi after “L’art Informel” - the movement of abstract painting that occurred in post-war Paris -, this band explores how its composed / improvised played-live sound links with the essence of the art movement in which thickly painted amorphous matière and tangling of the artists’ physical movements were what mattered instead of geometric abstraction. Our tunes are scooped up from the sea of mode to be turned into mystifying, enigmatic and enchanting notes by six players, bringing to you “composition and improvisation,” “simplicity and abstrusity,” “joy and sorrow,” and “a break of laughter and a boring silence.” Informel8’s tracks The End of the Game 〜遊戯の終わり〜 (2011) by Informel8 published on 2012-12-17T08:03:33Z A Puppeteer 〜人形使い〜 (2011) by Informel8 published on 2012-12-17T07:37:52Z And Butterflies Begin to Sing 〜そして蝶たちは歌い始める〜 (2011) by Informel8 published on 2012-12-17T07:29:43Z El hombre de la rosa 〜薔薇の男〜 (2011) by Informel8 published on 2012-12-17T07:24:42Z La belle jardiniere 〜美しき女庭師〜 (2009) by Informel8 published on 2012-10-06T11:59:02Z La casa inundada 〜水に浮かんだ家〜 (2011) by Informel8 published on 2012-09-20T11:08:42Z The Sleep of Paul Delvaux 〜ポール・デルヴォーの眠り〜 (2009) by Informel8 published on 2012-09-16T20:39:49Z La nuit aromatique 〜香しき夜〜 (2009) by Informel8 published on 2012-09-16T20:24:48Z
