Clayton Xulu “ INSEEZY ” (born 10 August 1988 ) is a South Africa Hip hop artist, song writer and Graphic Designer who grew up in Clermont and Kwa Mashu, townships based in Durban,Kwa Zulu Natal. His journey as a performer begin at Durban University of Technology at a show called Blazing Friday which was a weekly event held every friday. He would perform every friday in hopes to build a reputation amongst students and local artist around KZN. This would spark alot of talk around the city as he became a crowd favourite leading him to other events based in the city.
Whilst at DUT he studied Graphic Design also persuing his music career, he became part of a
hip hop trio called “Niche Fam” consisting of MX and Masandi. The group grew to becoming one of the biggest Hip hop acts in KZN, generating a lot of buzz throughout the country. In 2011 Niche Fam was also crowned the music group of the year at the IKUSASA AWARDS in category which they were nominated in, amongst the likes of Freshly
A few years later inseezy embarked on a solo Project titled “ Trial and Era ” of which released 28 October in 2015. The Project being fairly new and in its early
days in Promotion.
The EP features the likes of Gemini Major, Breeze, Aewonwolf, Beast, Maraza, Mx, Nelz,
Priddy Ugly, Masandi, Senamile, Awgust Rush, Smashis,Cheese Man Child, HCL, Jlwaless, Judas and Nick Proflow. The first single titled “ My Name ” Produced by Gemini Maejor ( Artist from Cassper Nyovest label Family Tree) was released Prior from the EP and was debuted on the Mtv Base website and its social media as the #Freshcut as one of the new artist on the verge of doing great things in the industry. The single did well on radio and rotated on Gagasi fm, Inanda Fm and a few other community radio stations. A video was shot aswell and it debuted on MTV Base in November 2015.
The Project Trial and era was covered all over blogs all over South Africa including websites such as Hype magazine and slikour on life to name a few.
The biggest hip hop Magazine in South Africa,HYPE Magazine covered inseezy’s music and work ethic and the impact he was making and listed him in a list for who to look out for in 2016, this list included the likes of Gemini Major, Nasty C,Shane Eagle and Emtee to name a few. Starting the year of with a new single “Friday “ and a brand new video its still early days but inseezy shows alot of promise in 2016. Also being part of a collective/movement titled the
031 Avengers only means there will be a whole lot more music, performances , appearances on radio, tv, blogs and Publications showcasing inseezy.
