Comfortably Numb by Jeremy R. Hammond published on 2012-09-09T07:35:23Z Pink Floyd is one of my greatest musical influences. I practically learned how to solo when I first started playing guitar by sitting down and figuring out David Gilmour's guitar solos for Comfortably Numb, and over the years I kept going back to it and relearning it and realizing I didn't have it right and kept learning from it and improving. This is a tribute to one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands. I got Sony Acid Music Studio and, to learn the program, decided to track out the parts from this song. I figured out all the instrument parts as best I could by ear and used the inline midi editor to do the drums, synths, strings, etc. Then I added the vocals and guitar tracks (slide, rhythm, and both solos), recorded with a little mp3 voice recorder.
