March 25th, 1985 - The almost 9 lbs alien looking baby took his first breath of Oxygen. He was the first born son of Normand and Christianne Fex, and was birthed into a family of music, dance, and fine arts. Although Normand had the strongest urge to call him E.T., they gave him the name of Jesse Normand.
- The very young Jesse was introduced to the practice filled universe of piano lessons. Sadly, the Attention Deficit Disorder head case had the attention span of a maple tree, and never bothered with learning to read music. He kept his parents happy though by continuing with the lessons and following in his Father's footsteps- acquiring the bad habit of learning to play by ear, kindly asking the music teacher with his blueberry eyes to play the piece for him so he could mimic the noise on the monochromatic instrument.
- Ma 'n Pa always knew Jesse was a gear junky, playing with Daddy's airplanes and getting his fingers into electrical sockets. So they gave him his first job working with mom, manufacturing speakers. His technologically savvy brain had found instant satisfaction. It became engulfed in learning the function of professional application speakers, amplifiers, basic DJ mixers and CD players. These were some seriously happy days.
- Teenage Jesse legally couldn't drive, so he started a small car audio business to make up for it. He sold, wired, installed, car audio into many friend's and client's cars. He blew out a couple windshields, pissed off many neighbors, and had the cops come to the door on a few instances as well. He was successfully loud, and even made one of the neighbors move off the street.
- He still couldn’t drive, but that didn’t stop progression. Jesse, his younger brother Eric, and some other random person, started throwing all ages dance parties for the high school kids. The first party did surprisingly well. A mob of 450 teenagers showed up to dance and throw down until their curfew, which was most likely midnight. With this success, they kept it up for two more years, (within which Jesse learned to drive).
- Yay! Presents! Jesse received a gift from his aunt- a Yamaha DX-7 keyboard. With the help of this new toy, Jesse went back to his beginnings as an ADD piano student. He began experimenting and realized he loved the "X-file" sound that he could produce with it. Later on in 2003, Jesse heard the song that turned him onto the dance scene: Gusto- Disco's revenge.
- More presents! Jesse received a gift from his uncle, probably the greatest thing he received (and will ever receive most likely): a full set-up studio. Everything from a Mac G-4 (logic included), to a 24 track sound board, and lots of other stuff with fancy buttons and twisty thingies. Jesse started playing with his many new toys, and began selling hip hop tracks to his friends. Sadly, this didn't satisfy him. So he slowly started to shift into different genres, developing his interesting and unique style. (Euphemisms not included).
- Jesse saw Eddie Halliwell, who in his mind had to be the coolest thing ever, because from that point he decided to be a DJ. DJing came very natural to him, due to his background in music and being amongst gear for so long.
- Studio Makeover! Technologies were becoming more and more awesome, and Jesse realized he too had to be awesome. To become awesome, he had to acquire the awesome technologies. So, he decided to give Eric (little brother, see above) back his DJ equipment, and purchase his own stuff. This included 2 CDJ 1000 and a DJM 800 by Pioneer. He also got "Serato - Scratch" by Rane. Once he purchased that stuff, he started gigging and producing heavily. With all this change, he realized that being awesome was hard work.
- Jesse produced over 15 new tracks, which are actually pretty damn good. He plans to start hitting some charts with these 15 bomb shells.
- All that hard work being locked in his basement apartment (aka: "cave") is paying off. Jesse is now on beatport, and can only go up from here. Keep your ears peeled and your eyes to the ground, for Jesse Normand Fex!
