Vestipherty Trio I ,Preamble. by Julian Abbott published on 2020-07-17T02:02:41Z This is the first movement of a big Tone Poem in 15 movements that I composed and completed in its basic notation in March/April of this year. Unfortunately I almost completely forgot about the expression marks, and I was hoping that human players would be available so I could explain to them how the different movements should be performed. But, alas , no human players were available, so I've added quite a lot of expression indications to this first movement called "Preamble" and the computer therefore makes a reasonable performance of the piece. I will add more expression marks but for tonight this is what I could do. All 15 movements were completed by the beginning of April, and since then I've been desperately looking for human players. But, nobody has time to try my pieces. The whole work lasts 110 minutes, for which I have been criticised . It's a tone poem describes the life of an imaginary, and somewhat heroic character called Arghrard Vestipherty, in pure music without any words at all. "Preamble" is just a long introduction to the Tone Poem, giving an idea of what is to come. Genre Classical
