Eva Walker On Why Refill Matters by KEXP published on 2020-06-29T22:45:06Z Black Tones Singer and AudiOasis host Eva Walker explains why it's important to her to host, and support, Refill. REFILL is a community-driven live streamed benefit concert to help raise money for the Seattle Artist Relief Fund (SARF), a Black-led community response to help provide direct financial support to artists who have been affected by Covid-19. With the global pandemic extending further into the future, artists from Seattle recognized a need for renewed focus and funding to support Seattle artists through SARF. In partnership with SARF, LANGSTON, and KEXP, a live streamed concert will be hosted on KEXP’s YouTube channel on Sunday, July 19th starting at 4PM. Donations will begin on the day of the announcement, Tuesday, June 30th at 9AM, and will continue through the event. An announcement video will be hosted on KEXP’s YouTube channel that includes a donation button allowing individuals, groups, or businesses to give 100% of their donations to the fund without any transaction fees. The live stream will feature a lineup of 10 local Seattle artists, a live host, interactive segments, and giveaways. REFILL will feature performances by Brandon Marsallis & Talaya., Claudine Magbag, Perry Porter, Chong the Nomad, Ben Zaidi, Parisalexa, Sol, Left At London, Dave B., and Sango. More information about the event can be found on REFILL’s website, www.refill.live. Genre Learning
