410v512 Lead Gtr 5 by Kyle Abent published on 2021-05-13T03:45:41Z If you can’t tell by the song title “410v512” I started writing this song on 410. The current version is 512. The first minute took me an hour today. Crazy, the amount of detail each note requires. Actually, the first minute of the lead arrangement I decided to try a new approach. Rather than transcribe, I wrote the notation “blindly” in that I didn’t play it prior to writing. I simply wrote something I felt to be challenging. Like a run on Demon’s Souls, in that I must play the entire arrangement from start to finish in it’s entirety in order to consider it for a full mix to combine with the Rhythm arrangement that I had the same approach on. The rhythm, I based on my last play through of the v510. Two days ago. I’m doing the long approach here, playing a version and modifying it based on my memory and based on the recording I listen to. V510 I had repeated barre measures here and there. Boring. If I can try a new approach, with each measure of lead unique, and the rhythm repeating without barre measures. This is like music theory, except music theory is filled with mistakes labeling the idea of songwriting to be labeled by logic, whereas music is more of an expression of language writing in a way much like programming, in that it’s far from the idea of English to “try and understand”. Simply put, this jams. Not like I hit each note perfectly, but hey, that’s rock and roll dude. Deal with it. See you next episode. Also, if I decide when to get a microphone so I can place some lyrics on this. That’ll be fun to fully express myself by vibrating my jaw. Ya know. Ya dig. Better than typing this stupid essay which no one will read. Other than myself because this entire project is a diary I can look back at. Take a look at KAE #1 - If I listen, I can recall everything from that day. So hey, not a waste. Genre Rock
