The Montevideo Connection (Rare 70s Uruguayan Grooves) by Le Clan Phonique published on 2016-01-24T19:45:34Z The Montevideo Connection (An exploration flight into the unknown 70s Uruguayan territory, 1976-1983). Another Le Clan Phonique (Ric Piccolo + Bubbling Minds) production! The always-intriguing Uruguayan scene, a country with a population of hardly 3 million people. There were only a few productions in the seventies, as you can imagine. However a small group of inspired and talented musicians gave us some of the finest recordings from the region. We are proud to feature a selection of those top-quality tunes. Please relax and enjoy! A huge thanks to John Shaft (a.k.a. DJ Pega) for his priceless contribution to this mix and for sharing with us some of their recent discoveries in Uruguay. Thanks Juan!
