Native of the cities of Arroyo & Gurabo, Puerto Rico and son of Tomasa & Catalino, brother of Madeline, Janet, Milagros & Luis.
Lino, began his involvement in the field of Latin Music at the early age of 14, when he became the "Band-boy" of he's Arroyo hometown Band the "Orquesta Nabori," when he was invited to work with them by Baldo Caban (Manager) & Roberto Sanchez (Bongo Player & Dir.), for whom eventually he composed several of the tunes featured on the group's first discographic recording "Ritmo Afro-Antillano."
In the year 1984, he moved to NYC where he participated as lead vocalist and composer for several Salsa groups including; Conjunto Suave of Chito Rosario, Cruz Control of Ray Cruz & Sergio Rivera, Grupo Raices of Pedro Ithier, Conjunto Real of Mike Torres & Ralph Marzan Jr. and The Rikoson All Stars.
Lino is considered one of the top lyricist's in the Latin Music arena and also specializes in translating tunes from English to Spanish in all styles.
As a producer, in the year 1994 he produced the highly acclaimed Salsa album "Evoluciones Del Son" by the group Rikoson All Stars & Yannet Sol With Lino Iglesias & Friends.

Besides Lino's work as a Composer, he distinguished himself as the first Latino Music Radio Producer/Manager/Programming Director in the Digital/Satellite Radio Industry; Music Choice (Digital Cable Radio) 1990 to 2000 and Sirius Satellite Radio 2000 to 2004.
During he's youth, Lino was also an outstanding professional player of Basketball & Volleyball, after retiring as an active player, he coached High School & College Basketball.
Currently, Lino is working in several new Latin Music productions and adding new names to the list of interpreters of his music.
