Hélène Seiyu Shakuhachi Hélène Codjo Bemmel Hélène Seiyu Codjo is a Shakuhachi Master (Japanese Bamboo Flute) and multi-flutist. She has been invited to perform and teach at international festivals in Paris, London, Vejle, Prague. Since 2017, she has been composing music for solo shakuhachi. The Zen spirituality of the flute is essential for her ("Japanese Meditations"). More recently, she finds her inspiration through exploring her African roots and the possibility of the shakuhachi ("African Memories"). She lives and works in the Netherlands.
