Pollinger Jonas
Newburyport (Berne)
Hi, I'm Jonas Pollinger, and this is my music. I explore various genres, and this page is dedicated to all kinds of projects: unreleased, unfinished, abandoned, EPs, and albums. Sometimes, I intentionally upload experimental work, as what one might consider trash could be another's treasure. Occasionally, there might be updates to the music over time. At heart, I'm a hobbyist, but I also release music on netlabels like Colorsquad and Hard Rave. My project revolves around embracing the beauty of imperfections, trauma, and displacement in both music and human experience. I have a strong affinity for drill and bass, breakcore, experimental, and noise, although I enjoy many other genres as well. Additionally, I have a DJ side project primarily focused on breakbeat-based music such as drum and bass and dubstep. Feel free to reach out and message me if you're interested in collaborating or discussing music.
Timothy Dexter was an eccentric merchant from a bygone era. He was a man of his own principles and logic, qualities I greatly admire. My project aims to represent his spirit – the spirit that guides me as I create and explore within the realm of music production software. While many considered him foolish, his unconventional behavior led to his success. He authored a book filled with political ranting and nonsense, understood only by a select few. To some, it may sound like a cryptic ritualistic speech from the occult; perhaps only entities beyond our sight can truly comprehend his writings. I've always found him fascinating, funny, tragic, mysterious, and motivated. He cared little for societal norms and expectations, forging his own path regardless. The fate or destiny, or what some call "God's will," that awaited him was almost akin to cosmic horror. He mastered materialism like no other, seemingly possessed by a force beyond our comprehension, akin to Titivilus. Whether his story is one of mystery or sheer luck, it remains magical and ripe for reinterpretation. While many perceive his tale as stark realism, to me, it's enveloped in numerous philosophical inquiries.
