LEO ROBINSON
ORLANDO
I am Louisiana Purpose, a recording artist hailing from Monroe, Louisiana, situated right at the top of the boot on the map. Beyond my musical endeavors, I am a multifaceted entrepreneur with a strong commitment to making a positive impact.
In the realm of music, I have a unique mission: to uplift, educate, and motivate my audience through a blend of poetry, R&B, rap, and comedy. My mentors in the entertainment industry have shown me the power of truth as a source of humor, healing, and entertainment. As their prodigy, I continue their legacy.
My journey has taken me from humble street corners to renowned stages like Apache Cafe, Club Frequency, 20 Grand East, Club 291, Go Town Comedy Club, and Crows Nest. I've not only toured across the United States, including Atlanta and Philly, but I've also made an international impact, performing in South Korea, China, and Canada alongside artists from around the globe.
My story took a profound turn when I became a father to my daughter, Kaliana. In response, I diversified my endeavors, founding Louisiana Purpose Clothing, establishing a music studio and production company, Purpose Music Production, and most notably, launching a non-profit dedicated to supporting at-risk teens and families, particularly those without a father figure or mentor. Our non-profit, "Mentors for Fatherless Children and Abused Families," seeks to make a lasting difference in our community.
While Orlando, Florida, is now my home, I have never lost sight of my roots. In addition to my musical pursuits, I am a versatile artist, encompassing roles as a writer, poet, singer, rapper, comedian, actor, and host. I once taught Kung Fu in Atlanta, GA, showcasing my diverse skill set.
My musical journey began in 2005 when I recorded my debut album, "DAYZ N TIMES," in Chester, PA, followed by "BEYOND REASON" in May 2006. Subsequently, I released the "Musical Antidote Project," the "Humble Champion Album," and the "If You Know You Know Album."
As a true Renaissance individual, my unwavering motto is simple: "Give me a mic, and I'll give you a show." Whether performing for an audience of one or a thousand, I believe the show must go on. Talent can take you to the top, but it's one's character that keeps them there. I firmly believe that once you embark on a journey, you are not meant to stop; you can't stop if you start. My purpose extends beyond myself, and my mission is grander than personal success. Enjoy the journey with me!
