how to be a great writer (by charles bukowski) by low coil published on 2017-08-17T04:40:51Z Recorded my first cut in months and only afterwards realized that it was the birthday of Charles Bukowski. It was only after being told that some of my poems were like Hank's that I actually read his stuff, so I can safely say that I'm firmly in the "admirer" camp rather than "imitator". That being said, his words in general, this poem in particular, and the book it comes from (Love Is A Dog From Hell) has served as a poetical touchstone for me throughout the years. Having a chance to record one of his poems is an honor and I raise my glass in a toast to one of the best. Thanks for the words, Hank.
