Luc Adams
Sliema
Luc’s love of dance music started at a tender age: born and raised in Malta he spent the first years of his life listening to dance oriented groups like The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Underworld and Orbital. At 14 Luc bought his first pair of turntables and taught himself the art of DJ-ing. His popularity as a local DJ prodigy spread immediately and within just a few months of entering the dance music scene, he was getting gigs all over the Maltese islands.
Luc’s first proper break in 2003 when, at the age of 16, was offered to play the closing set for the Love Sexy Beach Party at Armier Bay that also featured Sister Bliss (Faithless). This performance landed him a 2-page interview on Malta’s most popular clubbing magazine of the time, “Dansezee”, which proclaimed him its “Tip for the Top” in July 2003.
Over the past years, Luc Adams has gained massive respect from DJs across the dance music spectrum.
To date, he has shared the DJ booth with world class acts such as Calvin Harris, Basement Jaxx, David Guetta, John Digweed, Dirty South, Steve Angello, Mark Knight, Funkagenda, Chris Lake, Roger Sanchez, Fedde Le Grand, Joachim Garraud, Antoine Clamaran, Above & Beyond … and the list just keeps growing…
Luc Adams has also featured in numerous international gigs and in 2010 he became the first Maltese DJ to play at the world-renowned Ministry of Sound club in London. This night Luc Adams was flown up as special guest DJ for the Ministry of Sound Tours where he played alongside dance music legend Danny Tenaglia.
On the local clubbing scene Luc Adams is responsible for being the main protagonist in the hugely successful clubbing nights that go by the names of “Lights Out” & The Adams Family”. These have over the years become recognised trademark nights in Malta’s clubbing scene, cementing Luc Adams’ reputation as a household name in the local dance music scene with the distinctive capability to gather people by the thousands for a night of sheer musical entertainment.
Following up on his love for DJing, in 2007 Luc Adams also completed an audio engineering course at the renowned SAE institute in Sydney, Australia.
With a bundle of attributes underneath his belt, Luc Adams has recently been gaining praise as a talented upcoming producer.
