Luiza Staniec, born in Poland, but recently based in England, artist, songwriter and music producer. She has been making music for 25 years, collaborating with many artists, newcomers, as well as established singers & songwriters. Luiza placed her songs in films, commercials, toured with the biggest artists in Poland and around the world, released good number of albums, and she had No.1 at the Polish Hits Chart list.
Luiza graduated from the Music School of Singers in Poznan (Poland), making a huge impression on a music scene, fronting the all-female band, Matka (Mother), as a lead vocalist, pianist and composer/producer.
Soon, she has collaborated as songwriter and lyricist with some of Poland’s best-loved artists, including Michał Wisniewski and Ewelina Flinta. For the last one she has written a song "Zaluje"(I Regret) that soon became the biggest hit of 2003 in Poland!
In 2005 Luiza has worked with an alternative-rock band, Telewizor, co-producing their album, composing and writing most of their songs- “Sowy i Cmy” (Owls and Moths), which enjoyed massive critical acclaim from the music press. This opened the doors to Luiza composing for TV and movie soundtracks, most notably “Magda M”, (extremely popular Polish serial), where her two songs “Plyne, Gine”, (Swimming, Drowning) & “Posklejam” (Put it together), was enjoyed by hedge viewing audiences.
By 2007 Luiza & her trio was a finalist in the prestigious Vena International Music Festival, and with her song “Where Have You Been” she have reached third place. This song soon was featured on the album “JaToJa” (I Am Me), a fantastic feminine album, exuding the warmth of Luiza’s voice and the tranquillity of her Wurlitzer.
In 2008 she has moved to the UK, where started a totally, new chapter of her life, at first in Scotland, collaborating with Scottish artist & songwriter Gavin Sutherland (Sutherland Brothers & Quivers), and later, London based music producers Andy Bradfield and Avril Mackintosh, who have worked with the biggest names in the music business, such as Everything But the Girl, Tori Amos, Alanis Morissette, Tom Jones and Susan Boyle.
In a mean time, in 2010 very famous Polish singer Urszula has released successfully an album "DZIS JUZ WIEM"(TODAY I KNOW) with Luiza's lyrics for song “Nie znam” (I Don’t Know), known as “Kayla”.
Later in 2011 Luiza has written two songs for Polish famous artist KIELICH, who released his album “Dziecko Sczescia” (Lucky Baby), in the same year. Her credits were songs –“Gdy nie Widzisz” (When You Don't See), which she also sung, and a track – “Gdy Rozum Spi” (When Mind Sleeps), which was recorded on this album by a very popular Polish singer Ania Rusowicz, and became a big hit across Polish communities, around the world.
In late October 2012, as the result of great collaboration with London based, Grammy nominated Andy Bradfield and Avril Mackintosh, Luiza released worldwide her EP called “LOOKING FOR SOUND”.
In September 2015, Polish superstar, pop diva Zdzislawa Sosnicka released an album “Tancz, chocby plonal swiat” (Dance, Even The World Is On Fire), credited 4 songs written by Luiza. Then in May 2016 Luiza worked as a music producer and an artist at The Real World Studios in England, recorded and released worldwide, under The Real World Studios Label a single “NO MATTR WHAT YOU DO”. In February 2017, another Luiza’s dream came true, when a iconic Polish artist Grazyna Lobaszewska released her new album “Sklejam Sie” (Getting Myself Together), with Luiza’s four songs. It’s been quite big sensation, even before the release.
Luiza just finished working on a big & very inspiring project, THE UNITED KINGDOM OF POLAND, where she selected and invited 15 different & very talented, Polish acts - bands and solo artists, who are currently based and making music in the UK. Very soon the album will be released worldwide, by Polish National Radio label.
