move. (Music For Exercise And Running) by Luke Palmer published on 2017-11-29T01:47:43Z "move. (Music for Exercise & Running)" was designed to aid flow states in psychical activity; such tasks include warm-ups, running, rowing, cycling et cetera. The piece is designed to act as emotional arousal, to psyche-up either before, or during an activity. My research found the effect music can have on emotional arousal, and how it can be used to reduce perceived effort in exercise. The piece can also be used for synchronisation for activities like running because of its fast tempo of around 140 beats per minute. The fast-paced and energetic beat was employed to provide excitement, and this was compounded with bright fast-paced synthesiser sequences. The piece can be used either before a sporting event during a warm-up for arousal regulation, or during an activity for both synchronisation and arousal regulation. It is recommended that the piece is listened to at around, but no louder than 85dB. Genre Electronic
