Forest reverb - impulse response by maaheli published on 2015-09-25T08:35:56Z A short track to emphasize the acoustic properties of the forests in Estonia. I have cut off most of the impulses to focus on reverberant response which can last 7 seconds or more. This was recorded at the (now infamous) 'forest megaphone' site on a dead calm evening in September 2015. The mics were not in the 'megaphones' however, but in the free air. The original file is in 24bit 48khz if you want to download and play with it. Genre forest Comment by Genghis Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for 2023-03-02T21:29:03Z Comment by Snot Thanks, great sound, any chance of these as separate file with no 7 second cut off? 2021-07-02T20:48:06Z Comment by Jay King - Banjo/Field Recordings Captivating 2018-08-05T14:20:00Z Comment by Victor Reijs Is this recording near the megaphones? Or are they far away from them (aka the real forest)? 2016-07-31T09:47:22Z Comment by ION LANDS Can the raw Impule Responses you used here be purchased somewhere? 2016-04-20T15:28:06Z Comment by jfwojciechowski trees <3 2015-10-29T17:30:18Z Comment by Thrupoint Podcast Remarkable, rich natural reverb, yet, trees and grass and open-air should dampen sound. Bizarre. 2015-09-28T16:00:55Z Comment by Otso Kaijaluoto I would so like to build a hifi system in the woods. It would be so cool to listen to any music in such a great surrounding and acoustic. 2015-09-27T06:48:27Z Comment by Cassiel au Ciel Very forestesque and a great correspondence between music and picture. 2015-09-25T09:19:00Z
