After evolving to hear the sounds of Amapiano in late 2019, Marcus Damon started to produce Amapiano influenced music and is currently getting his music heard from all over the world from releasing his music on major platforms such as Spotify. Marcus slowly used that skill to forward a career in recording and production which gave him an outlook how to form good music, in terms of how it is produced. He has always had a critical listening ability to spot out where the depth is sustained within a track why it is important for depth to be sustain, with tracks from Dr Dre such as; California Love, Jill Scott’s A Long Walk and Timberland’s get your freak on with Missy Elliott giving him the influence to create a certain sound made him what he is now. Step by step, Marcus enhances his career even further in the music industry by becoming more versatile as an artist. Marcus attended London College of Music studying BA Music Technology, which has enhanced his knowledge in music production with mixing and mastering. Marcus is known for making experimental soul music blending hip-hop & R’n’B and soul, creating an ambient and calm sound for his audience. Also, creating upbeat but soulful house sounds to branch out into the club scene. After being recognised from a previous cover of remixing the The Weeknd’s Often, Marcus has a fan base keeping track of his progress. Short term goal, Marcus aspires to be a teacher at a secondary school/college teaching his knowledge to the young generation and watching them grow into what he is today and long term goals, he plans to open up a studio space and generate an income with getting clients into the studio to rehearse, record and anything relevant to music production or performance.
