Full Steam Ahead! by Mariza Costa-Cabral published on 2021-07-09T07:04:43Z This piece is for 4 hands piano. But what you hear in this recording is played back by the notation software. This piece can also be played by a single pianist if sufficiently advanced. The difficulty for a single pianist would lie on the rapid succession of thirds on the left hand, which requires great dexterity. Lots of changes in key in this piece. The first 13 measures (i.e., the first 30 seconds) go through the following sequence of Major keys: A, D, A, D, G, C, F, and E-flat. It then remains in E-flat for most of the piece until near the end when it starts shifting through keys again. Train Photo by Sarah L. A bit muddy in the lower register because of the closed intervals, but it does convey the impression of a train engine, if that's what you're after. 2021-10-18T23:30:09Z Comment by Ricardo da Silva music I can listen to all night,so expressive and soulful, played masterfully 2021-10-10T19:54:41Z Comment by oddrun eikli oh wonderful played Marzia! 2021-10-05T16:30:00Z Comment by Per Bronco Karlsson Wow, and the title is perfect this one, like it 2021-09-27T14:15:49Z Comment by Debra Buesking Very well thought out composition. Interesting mix of Baroque sensibilities with a "Beethovenesque" force. Be well. 2021-09-06T01:16:50Z Comment by Anibal Seminara Real nice feeling!
