Tony Conley welcomes back Mike Rogers, who was born in Livingston County, Michigan, and graduated from Howell High School and then Adrian College. While in Congress, the Republican chaired the powerful House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, authorizing and overseeing the $70 billion budget that funds the country's 17 intelligence agencies. Rogers focused much of his efforts in Congress on counterterrorism and national security policy. Since his time in Congress, he has advised multiple U.S. companies on cybersecurity issues, hosted a show on CNN and regularly contributes to major print outlets. Rogers is a former FBI agent and commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. He has said that if he were to get into the presidential race, he would run a "more civil, solutions-oriented" campaign.
