Carefree Minuet by MIssionary published on 2021-02-27T10:37:14Z "A modern approach to Baroque orchestra." Instrumentation: EW Symphonic Orchestra Strings: Violin Viola Cello Double Bass Woodwinds: Flute Oboe Clarinet in Bb Keyboard: Harpsichord Composer's comment: I am a big fans of Baroque music and French music, and quite a lot of French modern composer also have their own approach of Baroque dance music (such as Debussy and Ravel). Minuet is one of my most favorite Baroque dance, probably because my most favorite childhood piano music is Minuet in G major by Petzold. This music took me 11 hours in FL studio. Most of the time is just me twitching the articulation and that is quite tiresome. I probably should adjust more dynamic control but then I got quite lazy of it. Harmony-wise this music is pretty have quite a lot of traditional harmonic progression, as well as parallel harmony, extended harmony, whole-tone, and lots lots lots of modal mixture. Quite improvisational and "carefree" if you may say. ====================================================== CD Icon image taken from: https://artuk.org/discover/artworks/the-minuet-58933 The Minuet Leopold Schmutzler (1864–1941) Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum Genre Classical Comment by Gaetto This is awesome, definitely a more contemporary feel but honestly I love it just like this, the more complex chords and the more orchestra-centered textures really accentuate how magical it all feels. This ofc is just my take on it.
