Marcel - 4U (Regrets) by Mole Listening Pearls published on 2014-09-26T07:10:58Z Marcel – Petting. Soul. Dance. The new album from the Hungarian beat-maker with mop and broom will be released in november 2014. After a 13-year period Marcel has returned to Mole Listening Pearls the home of his first successful releases Viginti etduo and Cirrus Maximus. Although his new LP called Petting.Soul.Dance. is almost nonidentical with the older ones somehow it has the signature of Marcel. Because this album is the imprint of an artist's long time maturation. After the sudden and unexpected success of Viginti Etduo and Cirrus Maximus Marcel became such a popular artist he could sign to Good Looking Records possibly the biggest independent record company of the British scene. His third LP called Gamblers' released by Good Looking's dowbeat label Cookin' Records in 2005. During this period his tracks were released on plenty compilations and he made remixes for artists like Quantic, The Dining Rooms, Nightmares On Wax, Guts, Gelka, Erik Sumo etc. Marcel traveled across Europe with his special live acts and he was the very first Hungarian act who represented his country at the famous French festival Transmusicales. After a past like this what could happen along all these years until this wonderful album Petting. Soul.Dance. was born? Well, to recap everything: a mortal disease which ended up a recovery for a wonder, a long terapy and release from anxiety disorder, an almost broken up carrier which has got a new chance from an amazing encounter with DJ Ease of Nightmares On Wax. And besides these things financial problems because of the long pause led to a double life. Marcel who is a producer one day, a cleaning man in an office on the other day. A beat-maker with mop and broom. Knowing this the question remains: how could this album be so sparkling? The answer is Marcel who stands behind it. A man who celebrates life, who said yes to life, who is inspired by the energy of jazz, soul, hip-hop, a man who could work with such great artists like Ricky Ranking, Katie Gray, Rasco, Desmond Foster and others. The root of this new album undeniably the old Marcel but the old clouds are gone.
