They tried one time to hold it down,
You're never gonna get very far.
I hold my breath until the end,
You go back to who you are.
You'll never know if you don't try,
You've never lived 'till you've died.
I missed my train.
You'll never know if you don't try,
You've never lived 'till you've died.
I missed that train.
And all the people saw the light leave your eyes,
And then the ruler beckoned to the skies.
They tried one time to hold it down,
You're never gonna get very far.
I hold my breath until the end,
You go back to who you are.
They tried one time to hold it down,
You're never gonna get very far.
I hold my breath until the end,
You go back to who you are.
You'll never know if you don't try,
You've never lived 'till you've died.
I missed my train.
You'll never know if you don't try,
You've never lived 'till you've died.
I missed that train.
