Hawaii - Wind In The Bamboo Forest - 25 minutes of Nature by Nicholas McMahan published on 2022-07-27T22:58:11Z While visiting Hawaii in March of 2022 I enjoyed unique patches of the bamboo forest on Maui. The sound of the environment completely changed as soon as I entered the thick forest. In the dense bamboo a compelling percussive sound starts in the distance and ebbed toward me as the wind swayed the tall skinny shoots. Clicking and clacking together it felt as if this spontaneous rhythm passed through me. Are they bamboo knocking against others in the wind? Interesting! 2022-07-29T00:30:53Z Comment by Listening to Nature I've listened numerous times and will continue to do so because it brought back a childhood memory of when I lived next to a bamboo forest. Nicholas, thanks for sharing that. 2022-07-28T04:23:11Z Comment by Michael O'Connor Beautiful recording! Feels like I'm right there. 2022-07-27T23:41:23Z
